Air Mattress Bed

An air bed mattress can be inflated and deflated easily and is likely made of rubber or plastic. They are ideal for guests as they can easily be stowed away in very little space and brought out when an extra bed is needed. You will often see people bring along an air mattress on camping trips as they are easy to fit into a car. An air mattress is the easiest way to get a good nights sleep with minimal effort when a spare bed is needed.

Inflating An Air Mattress Bed

To inflate an air mattress you will have to pump it up somehow. Although some inflate by themselves you will have to figure out how to get some air into it somehow. Auto-inflating air mattresses have a built in pump. An air mattress bed pump can come in many different flavours. I have seen foot pumps that you step up and down on with your foot and there are also ones that plug into the wall or a car lighter. Often you will simply need some soort of adapter for a pump you use for your car. Of course if you have a good set off lungs and don't mind getting a little dizzy you can pump it up the old fashioned way by blowing into it.

Air Mattress Frame

If you are getting a fancier bed then you will be thinking about getting a air mattress frame as well. Basically, this gets you above the ground by a few feet so your not sleeping on the floor. These frames are pretty strong to carry your weight and also are made with an air mattress in mind so it doesn't get damaged.

Air Mattress Comfort

I personally have experienced several different air mattress beds and some of them are terrible and some are great. I kind of dread the type many people use for camping that can also double as something you can float on in a pool. However, when visiting my brother he had a higher quality air bed and I seem to remeber an additional layer of spongy stuff on the top of it.
